Xbox Editorial Design 〰️

As a designer on the Xbox team, I create content across editorial surfaces and collaborate closely with global marketing teams to support key business and brand initiatives. My work spans a wide range of tasks, including: Marketing design, game promotion, new member acquisition, seasonal campaigns, content refreshes, membership benefits promotion, content testing, hero prompts, multi-slot takeovers, internal badges and recognition assets.

I’ve produced high-impact visual assets including custom illustrations and iconography for global marketing campaigns that enhance the visibility and appeal of Xbox products. In a fast-paced, high-volume environment, I consistently deliver high-quality, scalable visuals across various platforms and asset sizes.

My contributions help drive engagement, increase brand reach, and align creative execution with strategic marketing goals all while reaching millions of gamers worldwide.

Quests Hero Image

I designed the new hero image for the revamped Xbox Game Pass Quests, part of a broader refresh of the Rewards program. Inspired by the concept of a treasure map, the artwork symbolizes the player's journey, exploring, playing, earning, and ultimately redeeming rewards.

Seeing this story gain media attention and watching news outlets use the hero image in their articles has been a rewarding part of the project. Above are two examples from VG247 and Restart.

Takeovers

I served as the lead designer on several high-impact Xbox Takeovers, major marketing campaigns centered around the launch of highly anticipated titles such as GTA 5, Avowed and South of Midnight. These campaigns reach millions of users and are comprehensive and fast-paced, involving a wide range of assets across digital channels, delivering across mobile, Microsoft Store, PC, and console. From concept to execution, I collaborated closely with cross-functional teams and stakeholders to ensure cohesive, visually compelling experiences that captured the excitement of each game release.

Seasonal Content

As part of a team known for producing high-quality content, I helped craft engaging and playful experiences that resonated with players. We collaborated closely to pitch fresh ideas and deliver seasonal content that surprised and delighted our audience. From designing custom backgrounds that showcased featured games to creating meme-inspired assets for holiday campaigns, each project offered a unique opportunity to blend creativity with strategic marketing.

Single IP Box Art on Background

To promote new game releases, I often created marketing visuals by placing game box art over in-game screenshots. To ensure a clean, visually balanced composition, I carefully selected and cropped screenshots so key visual elements weren’t obscured. In cases where the artwork competed with background details, I used Photoshop techniques to subtly edit or shift visual elements, maintaining both clarity and brand integrity. This approach helped drive attention to the product while keeping the visuals immersive and on-brand.

Multi IP Box Art on Custom Background

To promote themed gaming collections, I designed custom backgrounds that visually reinforced each collection’s concept. I often created these environments from scratch using Photoshop and Procreate, or creatively adapted stock imagery to align with the brand and tone. These tailored visuals served as backdrops for the game box art, enhancing product visibility while maintaining an immersive, cohesive aesthetic. This approach helped capture audience interest and supported consistent, on-brand storytelling across marketing channels.

MSOW on Microsoft Store

MSOW stands for Microsoft Store on Windows. MSOW assets are designed to spotlight featured titles and promote Xbox Game Pass, Microsoft’s subscription service that offers a rotating library of downloadable games for console, PC, and cloud. To support these campaigns, I created custom backgrounds tailored to each game’s tone and style, helping them stand out in the storefront and draw user engagement. Since the Game Pass library updates regularly, these assets had to be refreshed monthly to stay relevant, visually cohesive, and aligned with Microsoft’s brand standards.
